    RAIN Foundations Receives Prestigious U.S. President’s Lifetime Achievement Award

    On the evening of Saturday, August 10, 2024, the Malvern Retreat House in Pennsylvania, USA, hosted a vibrant ceremony honoring organizations dedicated to voluntary service with the U.S. President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Among the distinguished recipients was RAIN Foundations, also known as Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations.

    Founded in August 1997, RAIN Foundations has dedicated the past 27 years to enhancing the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals both in the U.S. and internationally through purposeful living. The organization has notably impacted the lives of prisoners, street children, and countless youth.

    In a statement, Mr. Raphaelle Antwi, the founding president of RAIN Foundations and commonly known as Author Ralph, expressed the organization’s gratitude and enthusiasm for the award. He affirmed that RAIN Foundations remains committed to its mission of empowering people globally to lead fulfilling lives.

    Author Ralph also highlighted that the organization operates 12 networks focused on securing futures and improving communities worldwide. RAIN Foundations continues to advocate for a life lived with a vision of eternity.

    TGMA24: Legendary Amakye Dede Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

    Legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician Amakye Dede received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards, held on June 1, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

    Amakye Dede’s more than half-century in the Ghanaian music scene stands as a testament to his enduring influence. He began his musical career as a composer and vocalist with the Kumapim Royals, a renowned Highlife band led by Ghanaian Highlife legend Akwasi Ampofo Agyei (AAA).

    Later, Amakye Dede formed his own band, Apollo High Kings, known for releasing numerous Highlife hits in the 1980s and 1990s. With a discography of twenty albums and a vast song catalogue, his significant impact has shaped not only the Highlife scene but also inspired generations of musicians and music enthusiasts.

    Affectionately called “Iron Boy” by Ghanaians, Amakye Dede has explored various genres such as Soca, Calypso, and Lovers Rock, seamlessly integrating them into Highlife. His well-known songs include “Iron Boy,” “Su fre wo Nyame,” “Asem to me a ka bi ma me,” “Dabidabi Ebeye Yie,” “Mmaa Pe sokoo,” and “Bebrebe Yi.”

    In recognition of Amakye Dede’s unparalleled talent and unwavering dedication to his craft, the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards honored the music legend with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
