The Livingstone Foundation (TLF) has stepped in to provide crucial support to Samiru Laryea, an accident survivor currently recovering from a life-threatening motor vehicle accident that resulted in the amputation of his right arm.

On October 8, TLF’s Managing Director, Dr. Louisa Ansong-Satekla, along with a dedicated team, visited Laryea at the Surgical and Plastic Unit of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. Their visit aimed to offer emotional support, essential relief items, and financial assistance to aid in his recovery. This marks the beginning of TLF’s commitment to provide ongoing support through regular visits and additional supplies as Laryea regains his strength.

During their visit, the team delivered essential supplies, including bottled water, drinks, toiletries, and financial aid to cover Laryea’s medical expenses. The foundation emphasized the importance of kindness and hope in challenging times, pledging to support him throughout his recovery journey.

“He’s a fan who had an accident while going about his day, which led to the amputation. We are here to support him as he heals, and we’ll continue to provide whatever assistance he needs,” Dr. Louisa stated. “This is not just a one-time gesture; we are committed to being involved in his recovery, now and in the future.”

Although he couldn’t be there in person, celebrated Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy, the founder of The Livingstone Foundation, connected with Laryea via phone. He offered words of encouragement, urging Laryea to remain strong and resilient. Stonebwoy expressed empathy for his situation and promised to visit him once he is discharged, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to providing both financial support and emotional encouragement.

In response, Samiru Laryea expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the foundation’s generosity, noting that the support has significantly lifted his spirits.

The Livingstone Foundation, established by Stonebwoy, aims to enhance the quality of life for the Ghanaian community through initiatives focused on education, youth empowerment, healthcare, and disability justice. The foundation is dedicated to providing educational resources, skill development programs, and advocacy for underserved communities, ensuring inclusive access to opportunities for all.
