Phoebe Asirah Adjei, a Ghanaian-born singer and songwriter, is quickly becoming a name to watch in the music industry. Hailing from Dormaa in the Bono Region, Phoebe’s musical journey has been shaped by her upbringing, education, and unshakeable faith. Now based in the Ashanti Region, she’s on a mission to inspire, uplift, and transform lives through her captivating sound.
From a young age, Phoebe displayed a remarkable talent and passion for the arts. While attending Berekum All for Christ, she was actively involved in music, poetry, and news reading. Her academic excellence was mirrored by her commitment to her artistic pursuits. Phoebe’s journey continued at Sunyani Senior High School, where she became an integral part of the school choir and cultural troupe, further honing her skills as a performer and artist.
While her heart beats for music, Phoebe also pursued academic excellence. She completed her first degree in Political Studies and English Language at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In a testament to her multifaceted nature, she is currently a final-year law student at KNUST Faculty of Law, balancing her academic aspirations with her passion for music. In addition to her academic and professional achievements, Phoebe is a proud wife and mother of two, skillfully managing her family life alongside her growing career.
Phoebe’s music journey began in the Church of Pentecost, where her father served as an elder. It was there that she was first introduced to the power of music in worship, participating in church activities and school events. She further cemented her musical potential by competing in the 6th season of MTN Hitmaker, a platform that has produced notable talents like Mr. Drew and Krymi. The experience empowered her to pursue her musical career professionally, all while staying dedicated to her legal studies.
Her musical style is a beautiful fusion of genres, seamlessly blending jazz, soulful RnB, Afrobeats, and gospel. With this unique combination, Phoebe crafts music that resonates with a wide audience, particularly youth, encouraging them to find their way to Christ through music. Her aim is to use her voice as a tool to reach young people, particularly those struggling with addiction and spiritual growth, to inspire them toward personal and spiritual development.
