Mahama Appoints Baba Sadiq as Ghana’s High Commissioner-Designate to Nigeria

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu as Ghana’s High Commissioner-designate to the Nigeria.

The appointment follows the recall of Baba Jamal, who has declared his intention to contest the Ayawaso East by-election after the passing of Member of Parliament, Nasser Mahama Toure.

The decision was announced in a statement shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ghana on Sunday, March 1.

Baba Sadiq, who served as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei Central in the 2024 general election, is expected to represent Ghana’s interests in Nigeria and help strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.
