Mr. Logic, a popular Ghanaian entertainment pundit and artiste manager,(born Emmanuel Barnes) has revealed that his daily expenses total GH₵8,000 on average.
Mr. Logic credits this significant outlay to his work as a businessman, given his background as an artiste manager and songwriter.
During an interview with Zion Felix, he highlighted how his everyday spending patterns are consistent, which he believes is a reflection of the demands of his job and his involvement in the entertainment industry.
“Honestly, my daily expenditure is serious, in a day I can spend… it may be small for someone but at my level I spend at least GH₵8,000,” he said.
Mr Logic explained that on top of other regular expenses, fuel accounts for a large portion of his daily expenses, about one thousand cedis.
Mr. Logic, who happens to be a member of the New Patriotic Party, attacked people who accuse the government of being to blame for the high cost of petrol, calling them ignorant. In an interview with Hitz FM, he claimed that people who ignore the larger economic dynamics and do not conduct well-informed research are essentially illiterate.
He drew parallels between fuel prices in Europe and Africa, pointing out cultural distinctions like Europe’s double-shift system and emphasising the need for Africa to reconsider its single-spine system, which he believes is a major barrier to economic development.
