A mysterious message that Ghanaian rapper Kofi Jamar posted on social media platform X has piqued fans’ interest.
The “Ekorso” hitmaker talked about his protracted break from new music releases, blaming it on personal issues that have kept him away for more than a year and a half. He openly stated, “Have not dropped music in almost a year and a half,” in a heartfelt post. (No one knows what I am going through) But I suppose I am just so accustomed to being unnoticed.
Haven’t dropped music in almost a year and half. (I’m going through shit nobody knows) But I guess I’m soo used to being nobody
Jamar’s tweet has raised questions about the rapper’s well-being and the direction of his music career among fans and followers. His confession illuminates the obstacles that affect artists’ creative processes and throws light on the frequently unseen struggles they face behind the scenes. Notably, this is the first post about artists going through personal struggles; rapper Yaw Tog shared one similar post not long ago.
Multi-award-winning musician Bisa Kdei is having a significant influence on both the luxury travel and music industries.
Surprisingly, Bisa Kdei has been seen on private jets, making him the one of Ghanaian musicians who is currently recognised for these kind of lavish trips.
Social media users began sharing videos of Bisa Kdei’s extravagant lifestyle after he was spotted flying around the country in a private jet. With a performance in Equatorial Guinea last weekend, Bisa Kdei’s Private Jet journey reached a new height.
The musician decided to take a private jet with his whole live band, including Grammy winner Joshua, rather than taking the usual commercial flight in order to perform. Flying his entire live band on a private jet is a testament to Bisa Kdei’s dedication to giving his fans and music lovers a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experience, which further solidifies his reputation as a trendsetter.
Choosing to travel by private jet also says a lot about Bisa K’deis achievements, notoriety, and success throughout the world because these vehicles are typically linked to exclusivity and luxury, meant for a select few.
The “Mansa” hitmaker’s penchant for private planes may seem like an unnecessary expense to some, but to others, it may be a business strategy to build his brand and improve the image of Ghanaian musicians abroad.

Well-known gospel performer from Ghana, Christiana Twene, better known by her stage name Obaapa Christy, has advised Ghanaians to pray for gospel musicians instead of harshly criticising them when they err.
She asserts that gospel musicians who use music to preach the word of God are not infallible and that they are just like everyone else in that they are human.
On Monday, January 29, 2024, the music diva stated in an exclusive interview with Graphic Showbiz that criticising gospel artists when they make mistakes is not the wisest course of action.
“There is no need saying all sorts of things to dampen their spirits. I sometimes hear not too good comments about gospel musicians when their issues come up and they can be very disheartening.
“Inasmuch as we are gospel musicians, we are mere mortals and we are bound to make mistakes too. Some media persons and Ghanaians dwell on the negatives instead of focusing on the positives. What is the point in rejoicing over someone’s downfall?” she questioned.
The hitmaker of “Hyebre Sesafo” took advantage of the occasion to counsel her peers to value themselves in order to receive compensation commensurate with that of their secular counterparts, who are rumoured to negotiate better terms with event organisers.

Journalist Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, who attempted a sing-a-thon in December 2023, has revealed that she and her management have paid for a sing-a-thon priority review.
Afua disclosed in an interview with Joy Prime, a station based in Accra, that the verification process typically takes up to 12 weeks, which is why she decided to expedite it after waiting for two weeks. She claims that the $750 priority review will be completed in a matter of 1-4 days, whereas the standard review takes 12 weeks.
“Because of the popularity of the event they requested for our files. After two weeks of waiting, we requested a priority review. The normal review takes not less or more than 12 weeks. But if you want it quick you pay an amount of money and they review your file within five working days.
So that’s what we paid for. Officially, it’s $650 but when you are going to pay, you’ll need to pay some transaction fee so we did roughly $750,” she said.
On December 24, 2023, Asantewaa began her vocal journey with the Sing-a-thon, a marathon singing endeavour that captivated audiences. After an incredible 126 hours and 52 minutes, the musical odyssey came to an end on December 29.
During the holiday season, Afua Asantewaa’s sing-a-thon brought Ghanaians together by popularising Ghanaian music.
