    ‘My former label deleted my songs online’ – AY Poyoo sobs

    Ghanaian comic actor and rapper AY Poyoo has expressed worry over reports that, following their breakup, his former label deleted all of his music from internet platforms.

    The young rapper revealed to his fans, “My fans will notice over one year now, all my songs have been deleted from the online stores and that has really affected me,” in a video posted on sighted by KobbyJosvan.com on social media.

    Poyoo expressed his displeasure with his former label’s action after witnessing the act. He bemoaned the financial consequences even more, saying “Imagine I’m earning $2,000 a month or $3,000 and all of a sudden you’re not earning anything because they’ve deleted your songs from online.”

    Poyoo declared that he is prepared to divide a percentage with the label and emphasised the value of treating people fairly in the music business.

    “If there is an issue, Poyoo you are going so we have to share percentage even if you’re gone, I have percentage in the songs you have taken because we worked together.” he reveals.

    In an exclusive interview on Daybreak Hitz with Hit FM’s Andy Dosty, the hitmaker of “Nobody” revealed that he has been married for a few months. But he would not reveal who his better half was.

    According to the young rapper, he decided to keep his marriage private due to personal reasons hence “people hate to see good things.” His refusal to comment on his previous relationship with Ghanaian singer and socialite Efia Odo was in response to a question about it.

    I’m a husband now. Yeah… For some couple of months now. I would like to keep that private. People don’t like good things and that is for me to enjoy, so I love keeping it that private,” he said.

    Funny Face’s gory accident: No life lost, victims receiving treatment

    Popular Ghanaian comedian and actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, better known by his stage name Funny Face, was involved in a tragic accident at Kasoa Kakraba junction on the evening of Sunday, March 24, 2024.

    Reports from the scene state that multiple pedestrians were struck by his vehicle, resulting in injuries. Previous reports claimed that the “Children President” had been taken into custody by the police for driving under the influence and that one person had lost her life.

    However, no one was killed in the accident, and the victims of the regrettable incident are receiving and responding to treatment at Kasoa Polyclinic, according to pop culture journalist and TV host Emmanuel Kwame Sarpong, also known as Olele Salvador. He revealed this today, March 25, 2024, in a post on X (formally Twitter).

    However, Comedian DKB, who was present at the accident scene, confirmed in a live video that no lives had been lost as he was leaving the premises.

    He continued by thanking the Ghana Police Service for preventing Funny Face from being lynched.

    Ghanaian popular actor and comedian Benson Nana Oduro also known as has been involved in a car accident at Kakraba Junction in Kasoa.

    This incident happened early this evening around Kasoa Kakraba junction leaving two motor riders and three pedestrians severely inquired.

    It’s still unclear as to what caused the accident, hence witnesses at the scene accused the comedian of driving while intoxicated, which caused the collision.

    The victims have since been rushed to hospital for treatment. A young boy who was one of the victims is reportedly in extremely critical condition.

    The police have not yet responded to the situation.

    Amaechi Muonagor, a well-known actor from Nigeria, died at the age of 62.

    Morris Monye, a renowned social media analyst, confirmed the news of Muonagor’s death. On Sunday, Monye shared his profound grief over the passing of the veteran actor on his official social media accounts.

    “Deeply heartbroken by the news of Amaechi Muonagor’s passing. He was a talented Nollywood actor whose presence on our screens was truly masterful,”

    “We watched with concern as he battled health issues, offering whatever support we could to help him seek treatment in India. This tragic loss highlights the need for better healthcare in our country.” Monye shared in his post.

    Muonagor’s death occurred not too long after his colleague actor Mr. Ibu (John Okafor) passed away on March 2, 2024.

    Many are surprised by Muonagor’s abrupt passing, particularly in light of his recent viral video in which he begged for money to get a kidney transplant.

    Amaechi Muonagor was a skilled producer in addition to an actor. His exceptional work in 2016 brought him a nomination for the AMVCA 2017 Best Actor in a Comedy category, demonstrating his skill and adaptability in the entertainment business.

    After years of cooperation and success in Ghana’s music industry, the decision was made to split ways with AMG, an acronym for “Arab Money Gang.”

    Having been raised by fellow artist Criss Waddle, Medikal (born Samuel Adu Frimpong) gained notoriety under the guidance of AMG Business. Medikal became one of Ghana’s most prominent hip-hop artists during his time with the label, releasing a number of successful singles and albums.

    This announcement was made by the “Omoada” hitmaker on X, formerly known as Twitter. He did not, however, give away the reason for his resignation.
    “I’m no longer a member of AMG. If you see me wey you talk AMG I go fi slap you,” he said.

    Seasoned Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor has appealed to Nigerians to provide financial support to undergo kidney transplant in India.

    The renowned actor was seen lying on a bed and pleading for assistance in a video that went viral on social media.

    Kingsley Orji, his Nollywood colleague seated beside him, made a plea on his behalf.

    Amaechi Muonagor left the hospital a few days ago because of financial difficulties, according to Orji.

    He stated that the illness had affected his speech and urged fans and well-wishers to support him for a transplant surgery.

    “It is been challenging. He has been in this state for several months now. He wants to go for a kidney transplant. What we want is for you to help us for him to travel to India,” Orji said.

    “He just came back from the ICU in Nnewi teaching hospital a couple of days ago. He was responding to treatment but not very well.

    “We decided to bring him home because there was no money but it is not advisable. He barely talks well. Please, he needs your help.”

    In 2023, Amaechi Muonagor was diagnosed with paralysis that had affected half of his first leg.

    His words: “I’m sick, this thing that is called stroke caught up with me, and from there they rushed me to the hospital. The first hospital they rushed me to was in Nnewi, where I spent some two months and I was referred to Teaching Hospital Nnewi and here I am.

    “I was on a movie set with Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, and Ebele Okaro. I was about to enter my car when I was struck with this problem and since then it has been getting worse. Right now, I can’t move, I can’t walk on my own. Half of my left leg is paralyzed, my left hand is not movable, so it is a problem for me.

    “I’m calling on well spirited individuals to come to my assistance, to see how they can help me. It is paralysis, half of my body.”

    Actress Martha Ankomah, celebrated Ghanaian actress has appealed to the National Film Authority (NFA) for help in getting Ghanaian films on major streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon.

    National Film Authority held its maiden Film Investment Breakfast Meeting at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel on March 20, 2024, on Wednesday for its shareholders.

    The gathering provided businesses with a special forum to discuss profitable alliances and insights into the investment opportunities present in Ghana’s vibrant film industry.

    Celebrities and dignitaries including Jackie Appiah, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Chris Attoh, Martha Ankomah, Adjetey Anang, and Hon. Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer (Minister Designate for Tourism, Arts, and Culture) graced the occasion.
     
    The National Film Authority’s Juliet Asante, the filmmaker Danny Damah of TD Afrique Films, the CEOs of Sparrow Productions and Phamhouse Productions Shirley Frimpong Manso, and Ivan Quashigah were among the speakers of the day.

    During the open forum session, Martha Ankomah pleaded with the National Film Authority to assist in getting Ghanaian films on Netflix and Amazon; “When you go on Amazon and Netflix, there are Nigerian movies…But for us in Ghana, it’s difficult to get our movies there. I don’t know how they do it, but it would be great if the NFA could help us get our films on those platforms.” She said.

    Among the many films in which Martha Ankomah has acted are “Heart of Men,” “Deadly Heart,” and “The Dirty Fantasy.”
