Black Sherif Wins 25th TGMA Best Hip Hop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year

Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has been awarded the Best Hip Hop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

The ceremony took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) Grand Arena on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, has gained widespread recognition for his unique fusion of afrobeat, hip hop, and hiplife sounds.

His captivating storytelling and unvarnished lyrics reflect the joys and sorrows of daily life, resonating deeply with his audience. This authenticity has earned him critical acclaim and a devoted fan base, establishing him as a leading figure in Ghana’s music scene.

He triumphed over Medikal, Jay Bhad, Amerado, King Paluta, and Sarkodie to win the award.
