Black Sherif, a Ghanaian artist, is gaining attention after showing designs for UK-based Labrum London on the 2024 London Fashion Week runway.
During the inaugural day of the event, the current VGMA Artist of the Year attracted attention with her unique ensemble that was accentuated by her leather purse.

To preserve Ghanaian culture, the Parliament plans to include regional languages in its sessions.
MPs are permitted to use local languages with universal translation under Order 63. Promoting cultural diversity is the goal of the initiative, which got underway at the second meeting of the fourth session.

Nana Aba Anamoah, a multi-award-winning media personality from Ghana, is a proponent of professionalism and moral behaviour in the workplace. She places special emphasis on the significance of young women abstaining from sexual activity in order to pursue career opportunities.
She said that young women should not give in to men’s advances for sexual relations in exchange for jobs or professional advancement. She underlined that these concessions undermine women’s dignity and self-respect in addition to allowing them to be exploited or taken advantage of.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with 3Music TV, the esteemed journalist and broadcaster emphasised the value of meritocracy over unethical methods for advancing in one’s career.
“It’s just that some men think that is how they can exhibit power…If you are a young girl and you are caught up in that situation, I’ll say to you, do not have sex with a man.
“One girl told me if ‘I have sex with a man it’s not written on my forehead, nobody will know’. Yes, but it is your dignity. If you want to have sex with a man, have sex with a man but not because there is an opportunity at stake, that is your self-esteem gone,” she stated.
Nana further stated that, despite the fact that she has never experienced such an ultimatum at work, she firmly feels that any woman in a similar circumstance would be better off taking no chances.
“It is not their fault…if you say watch ‘how you carry yourself,’ then you are apportioning some blame to the young women,” she said, addressing the tendency to hold young women accountable for these situations. “Even though this girl is competent, I must get into her trousers before she gets the job,” believes an insane man. So it is not the young woman’s fault.
In her opinion, women should never engage in mutual sex because there is a potential risk involved, but if they choose to, it is fine.
“Of course, you will be confronted with so many challenges that at that point you need the job and the money…However I want to tell every young woman that exchanging sex for a job is not the way to go,” she emphasized.

Ghana has fallen six spots in the most recent FIFA World Ranking following a pretty underwhelming performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Black Stars are still outside the top 10 in Africa according to the world football governing body’s release from Thursday, February 15, 2024.
Ghana is now ranked 67th in the world, and the Black Stars are now 14th on the continent, behind countries like Mali and South Africa.
The team’s poor performance at the AFCON, where they were unable to advance out of a group that included Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique, is the reason behind the drop.
After the Black Stars lost to Cape Verde and drew with Egypt and Mozambique in their group stage matches, head coach Chris Hughton was fired.
Even though they were eliminated from the AFCON in the round of 16, Morocco is still ranked highest in Africa.
Senegal is ranked second, followed in order by Nigeria, Egypt, and the recently crowned AFCON champions, Ivory Coast.
In the continental rankings, South Africa completes the top ten, followed by Algeria in seventh place, Mali in eighth place, and Tunisia in sixth place.
Argentina, the world champions, are first in the global ranking. The top five also includes France, England, Belgium, and Brazil.

The majority of Ghanaian politicians, according to well-known media figure Nana Aba Anamoah, are “senseless and unpatriotic.”
Nana Aba said that only 8% of Ghanaian politicians possessed the necessary political savvy and accountability for the country’s governance.

”I see so much in this country, and I am looking at some of our politicians. Only 8% of our politicians are sensible across the board. The rest of them are just there, not by dint of hard work, not because they are so passionate about this country.
They simply see an opportunity to take advantage of the state, and they are making every effort to do so. I do not even want to go there because they are the intrusive, loud people. She stated, “I think this generation is better than ours because things are changing and I think we could do better.”
Ama K. Abebrese, a British-Ghanaian actress and film producer, has been named a Goodwill Ambassador for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) of the United Nations.
Kofi Kinaata is a musician and songwriter who is one of the nine Goodwill Ambassadors revealed thus far.
These Ambassadors will serve alongside Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah, who was named IOM’s first-ever global ambassador in November.
The recently appointed Goodwill Ambassadors will dedicate their support and lend their names to promote the opportunities that come with migration and how it helps talent spread around the world.

Ghana’s Wiyaala & Atongo Zimba made it to the list of ‘Global 500 Greatest Songs of All Time’
Atongo Zimba and Wiyaala from Ghana have been included in the list of “The Global 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.”
Wiyaala’s Village Sex and Atongo’s No Beer in Heaven took the 419 and 316 positions respectively.
The list was compiled after two years of research by Alan Tigay, a seasoned author and music reviewer.

The esteemed author Alan M. Tigay of “World Listening Post” assembled the list.
The “list reflects global reality,” according to Tigay, not limiting itself to “a few genres” or “just the past few years,” and it most definitely goes beyond songs that are performed in the English language, something that authors of such lists, sadly, frequently fail to do.
He did, however, acknowledge that the “inclusive list” is by no means “final.”
“If I can offer one insight it would be that the most one can hope for is a list that is impressionistic. In two years of research I have concluded that there must be at least 10,000 songs that merit inclusion in a roster of the 500 best,” he revealed.

Felicia Osei, a well-known Onua FM presenter and Tiktoker, has revealed that getting married is her greatest fear and that she has no intention of getting married right away.
