Dan Lartey Calls for Unity and Greater Diversity in Ghana’s Gospel Music Industry

Ghanaian gospel music executive and media personality, Daniel Lartey — popularly known as Dan Lartey — has issued a heartfelt appeal to gospel musicians across the country, encouraging unity, unconditional love, and a renewed embrace of diversity within the industry.

In an open letter shared via his official Facebook page, Lartey expressed concern over growing issues within the gospel music space, including division, repetitiveness, and a lack of inclusivity. He stressed the need for emotional maturity among artists, especially when dealing with apathy or a lack of support from peers.

“In this journey of ministry through music, one important truth we must all embrace is that not everyone will show you love — and that’s okay,” he wrote. “If you choose to love, love without expectation. Let your expression of love be pure, not transactional.”

Reflecting on his own commitment to respond with love in the face of challenges, Lartey urged gospel musicians to avoid bitterness and instead focus on creating a peaceful and nurturing environment within the ministry.

He also voiced frustration over the recurring presence of the same artists on gospel concert lineups, warning that such repetition could hinder creativity and growth within the genre.

“The trend of booking the same faces and voices over and over again is slowly making our concerts predictable and, frankly, uninspiring,” Lartey noted. “Diversity of sound, message, and gifting is essential if we want to grow, remain relevant, and reach the fullness of what God intends for this ministry.”

He concluded his message with a powerful call to the gospel community:

“Let’s reflect. Let’s build. And above all, let’s love without expectations.”

Lartey’s candid message has sparked meaningful discussion across Ghana’s gospel music scene, with many stakeholders applauding his transparency and echoing the call for greater inclusivity, innovation, and support within the industry.

  • Diana Hamilton’s Comfort Plus Experience Ignites Maryland with a Night of Unforgettable Worship

Diana Hamilton’s Comfort Plus Experience Ignites Maryland with a Night of Unforgettable Worship

Lanham, Maryland – September 28, 2025 — In a powerful crescendo of worship and praise, the Redeemers Chapel in Lanham, Maryland, transformed into a sanctuary of spiritual revival on Saturday, September 27. Thousands of believers, undeterred by the day-long rain, converged from across the United States and Canada for the highly anticipated Comfort Plus Experience with award-winning gospel minister Diana Antwi Hamilton. This year’s event carried the theme “Move”, setting the tone for a night marked by divine encounters and heartfelt worship.

From the moment Diana stepped onto the stage, the atmosphere shifted. With anointing and energy, she delivered back-to-back performances of some of her most beloved hits, including Adom (Grace), The Doing of the Lord, and Me Nyankopon Papabi (My Good God). The crowd was instantly swept into an immersive worship experience, with hands lifted and voices raised in reverence. By the end of the evening, countless attendees shared testimonies of renewal, encouragement, and a deep sense of spiritual refreshment.

One of the most memorable highlights came when Diana was joined on stage by Ghanaian gospel legends The Tagoe Sisters and the revered Ceccy Twum. Their spontaneous, soul-stirring collaboration sent waves of praise throughout the auditorium, igniting a collective moment of unrestrained joy and unity in worship.

Adding to the evening’s depth and diversity were performances from rising and established gospel voices including Mz Naana, Millicent Yankey, Herty Corgie, and Kenneth Appiah—each bringing their unique sound and spirit to the stage, enriching the overall experience.

This Maryland gathering served as the grand finale of Diana Hamilton’s Move Tour, which earlier in the year saw thousands gather in cities across Ghana—Accra, Kumasi, and Sunyani. While the tour officially concluded in Maryland, the spiritual momentum is far from over.

This hunger for more has inspired Team Diana Hamilton to explore future editions of the Comfort Plus Experience across the United States, with plans already underway for upcoming events. The vision is clear: to bring transformative worship moments to gospel music lovers across North America and beyond.

The Maryland edition follows the widespread success of the Awake Experience 2025 in Ghana earlier this year, further solidifying Diana Hamilton’s place as a global voice in gospel music.
