Legendary highlife musician Nana Acheampong has stated that he is still involved in the music industry, despite his poor song promotion.

After his song “Cassanova” became popular, many thought he had given up on music, but the renowned musician explained that a change in leadership had left his works uninspired and ineffectual.

In an exclusive interview with Tony Best for Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360, the wise highlife artist reaffirmed that he will keep making music as long as he has breath in him.

“Just last year I released three songs but my problem has to do with promoting those songs so that it will become relevant and withstand the current trend but I am unable to keep up.”

“Part of my silence in the music industry could also be attributed to a change in management, we haven’t been able to keep up with new developments,” Nana Acheampong said.

Nana Acheampong made a hint that he and her incredible daughter Gyakie would be collaborating on a popular release shortly.

With years of experience and a wealth of musical history, the well-known highlife musician is a respected figure in Ghana’s music industry.

He expresses his satisfaction with Gyakie’s accomplishments, emphasising that singing is Gyakie’s natural talent and that she started preparing for her career at the young age of five.

In the meantime, Nana Acheampong has dropped a brand-new song called “Ye Wo Nyame,” which means “We have God.” Ye Wo Nyame features Fameye, a young, gifted highlife singer from Ghana.

The song is currently out and available on all music streaming platforms.
