Managing Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s most captivating and controversial musicians, is not as difficult as it may seem if one truly understands him, according to multiple award-winning Ghanaian broadcaster and manager Samuel Atuobi Baah, also known as Sammy Flex.

The popular Ghanaian Dancehall artist’s manager, Flex, refuted claims that managing the “Melissa” hitmaker is challenging in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.

Some believe it would be challenging to manage Shatta Wale because of the way he handled conflicts with his previous managers, Bulldog and Mr. Logic. Sammy Flex, however, dispelled these notions, stating that when the crooner is understood, he is not difficult to work with.

If you understand Shatta Wale, managing him is not that hard. It is up to the person managing him; all you need to do is comprehend him and give him the benefit of the doubt. If there is mutual respect, you can work with him for a very long time. His private life is not my business.

It is impossible to dictate to someone like Shatta Wale what actions to take or refrain from taking. He knows what strategies work for him and how to play the game. All I have to do is encourage him to pursue his dreams and offer advice on anything he wants to do. We get along well; I have known him for a long time, even before I started working with him,” he remarked.

The prolific broadcaster responded, “I just hope and pray that it does not come to that,” when asked how he would feel if the singer ever treated him like Bullgod and Mr. Logic, his two former managers. I am the calm kind that can deal with a person like Shatta Wale. Nothing like that happened when he was managed by Chris Koney, Nana Dope, Willy Wale, or Kofi Boat.

“I think they had problems, but none of what has been happening has happened because of the respect they had for one another. He continued, “I think there will always be fireworks because Shatta Wale is an extrovert, and his former managers Bullgod and Mr. Logic are also extroverts.
