It is true that some married women have affairs outside of their marriage.

As per the Ghana Demographic and Health Survey 2022, 3.8% of Ghanaian married women reported having an extramarital affair.

A mere 0.9% of women in marriage acknowledged being in multiple relationships. In Ghana, 4.0% of divorced, separated, or widowed women have more than one partner, and 46.6% have had sex outside of marriage or cohabitation.

Furthermore, 46.1% of women aged 15 to 24 report having had sex with someone other than their spouse or cohabitant, and 3.5% report having multiple partners.

Nonetheless, the survey found that 17.5% of Ghanaian men in marriage have extramarital affairs.

Out of every ten, it was stated, have two or more partners who are not married.

The survey’s shocking finding is that 17.5% of married Ghanaian men have extramarital affairs.

This means that roughly two married men out of every ten have more than one extramarital partner.

18.4% of these married men have engaged in sexual activity with people other than their spouses, according to further data analysis.
