One person detained by police in relation to the soldier’s shooting at Kasoa

The Ghana Police Service made a major advancement by detaining a suspect in the deadly shooting incident that killed a soldier in Kasoa. This action was taken in a prompt manner.

Residents of Millenium City, Kasoa, were shocked by the incident, which occurred on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at about 4:20 p.m. The soldier was shot by the suspect, identified as Benlord Ababio, and died as a result, according to the Police’s preliminary investigations.

The victim was taken right away to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa in need of emergency care. The victim’s identity has not yet been released by the authorities pending notification of the victim’s family. Officials from the hospital confirmed that the soldier passed away from his wounds in spite of the efforts of medical staff.
