Three innocent lives have tragically been lost in a series of horrible crimes that have shaken the peaceful community of Kroboland in Ghana’s Eastern Region. This is a startling development. Richard Tetteh, 35, has confessed to the Ghana Police that he was responsible for these senseless murders, exposing a dark plot that has horrified and depressed the neighbourhood.

The terrible incidents took place in Sekesua in April 2024, Oterkpolu in February 2024, and Nuaso Odjam in April 2024. Tetteh’s motivations remain a mystery, but it is purported that he took a pitiful GHC500.00 for each life he brutally took, allegedly at the request of a chop shop owner from Agɔmaanɔ, Lower Manya.

The revelation of Tetteh’s methods has given the tragedy a terrifying new depth. He admitted taking fluid and saliva from the victims with a handkerchief, which he then deviously gave to an unsuspecting food vendor.

People in Kroboland are experiencing a mixture of shock and agony as a result of the news, finding it difficult to comprehend the unbelievable events taking place in their town. Tetteh’s lack of regret has only made the wounds inflicted on the bereaved community more severe.

In the community, there are many expressions of grief and anxiety. One resident bemoaned, “I am upset and sad. He does not even look remorseful.”

Amidst the mourning, there is a resounding cry for increased consciousness and solidarity, particularly from women who are expected to prioritise their own safety. The community is unwavering in its resolve to hold those responsible for the victims’ deaths accountable and to pursue justice for them.

“You cannot commit a crime on Kroboland and go unpunished. One resident said, “We will help the police find you and arrest you,” demonstrating the community’s resolve to combat the evil of violence that has tarnished their cherished country.
