“Never agree to share an apartment with your wife’s family members” – Kwaku Manu advises men

Kwaku Manu, a movie star, believes that sharing an apartment with your partner and family can be detrimental to the development of your marriage.

In his opinion, living apart from your family as a man is essential for maintaining mental stability and saving your marriage.

It will be proper not to stay with your family when you get married,” Kwaku Manu stated in an interview with Zionfelix.

Both sides benefit from it. Regardless of gender, it is never appropriate to accept an invitation to stay at your family home or to move in with your spouse. Even though you are a nice person, your family will definitely take advantage of you, he said.

Dramatic circumstances led to Kwaku Manu’s separation from his wife, Dianne Okailey Manu. Divorcing his wife who lives in the United States is confirmed by Kwaku Manu.

Popular comic Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu and his US-based wife, Mrs. Dianne Okailey Manu, reportedly got divorced in September 2021.

The couple reportedly went through a dramatic divorce, despite not disclosing any reasons for their breakup.

Following the event, it was revealed that Kwaku Manu’s continual infidelity to his wife was the cause of their divorce.

The host of “Aggressive Show,” however, publicly refuted these reports and even criticised the blogger for making such accusations against him.

Speaking about his failed marriage, the actor acknowledged that he and his wife were officially separated several months after the reports surfaced.

Yes, Zion, I am divorced. I am the kind that does not stuff things up. My divorce was finalised in the previous year. It is been a while,” he said to Zion Felix during a GhanaWeb-recorded interview.

When the host inquired about his psychological and physical well-being, he gave a positive response and mentioned that he planned to settle down after finding love again.

After a few years of marriage, Kwaku Manu and his ex-wife had four children together.

Medical team explains why Afua Asantewaa ended sing-a-thon

The medical team of Afua Asantewaa has explained why they advised her to conclude her Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attempt after five days.

The journalist and former beauty queen brought down the curtains on her attempt to break the world record after 126 hours and 52 minutes.

This was after surpassing the previous sing-a-thon record of 105 hours, which was set by Indian Sunil Waghmare in 2012.

Explaining the rationale behind the decision to end the sing-a-thon, the head of Afua’s medical team, Dr Grace Buckman, said there was a need to prioritise her health.

She noted that Afua’s body system has been affected by her sleep deprivation and that she was beginning to show signs of mental stress.

There’s only a point you can go as a person. She has done so well and we are extremely proud of her,” Dr Buckman said, as quoted by the Graphic Online.

We have gotten to a point that as a medical team, her health is very important. At the moment, we want her to rest so she will bounce back to us.

Meanwhile, Afua is now awaiting official confirmation and verification of her new record by the judges of the Guinness World Record.

Her attempt to break the record lasted five straight days, having kicked off from December 24 to December 29, 2023.

Also, several Ghanaian celebrities have stormed the Akwaaba village to lend their support to the journalist and former beauty queen.

In the last five days, actors and musicians, including Becca, Cina Soul, Sista Afia, Kwabena Kwabena, Eno Barony, Kobi Rana, Sarkodie and Nana Ama McBrown, have all appeared in person to support her.

Ghana’s Vice President and flagbearer of the ruling NPP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was also there to give morale for the record attempt.

Portable defeats actor Charles Okocha in celebrity boxing (Video)

After the fourth round, Nigerian street-pop artist Habeeb Badmus, aka Portable, was declared winner of the celebrity boxing fight against Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, on Wednesday, reports The Punch.

The fight, which was sanctioned by Heritage Boxing Entertainment, held at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State, started after 1am and lasted about 40 minutes.

The pair had finally settled their scores with their fists after Portable alleged contractual issues, which led them to engage in an online feud over an alleged N40m rip-off.

Portable claimed Okocha cheated him out of the money, only sending him a small amount, contrary to a contractual agreement.

In Round One, Portable took the lead early with a confident start.

He was adorning a blue pair of knickers and a blue armless top to match.

He also took full control of the ring and looked to find his range from several jabs to the body of Okocha, who was wearing a red top and red shorts.

In Round Two, Okocha was back in the game as he had been avoiding blows from Portable, and everything seemed to be in his favour.

Okocha gained more ground than Portable had in the entire bout, and he was not giving up on amassing more points despite being in the pole position to win.

His jabs even brought Portable down, and the referee had to come in between them.

In Round Three, Portable was running around the ring to see if he could bounce back into the game and Okocha was following him around.

Portable seized some opportunities to retaliate the blows that were descending on him from the round two fight.

In Round Four, the two celebrity boxers were tired, but Portable was still throwing some direct punches, which caught Okocha unaware.

Meanwhile, when the referee called for Round Five to decide the winner, both of them declined to continue and this led to the eventual announcement of Portable as the winner.

Although Portable did not win through TKO, KO, or even by points recorded, with his victory, he clinched the belt while solidifying his position as the deserving champion in the hard-fought bout.

Sammy Flex prays for young musicians; advise them to be smart in making decisions

Ghanaian prolific and seasoned journalist, Samuel Atuobi Baah well known in the entertainment industry as Sammy Flex has an important advice to Ghanaian musicians especially the young one.

Many of these young acts land on rough grounds due some choices and decisions they make. Artistes must be capable of analyzing critical issues and make the right decisions out of. The journey to stardom turns frustrating leaving these young talents confused and desperate to be in the limelight.

    Sammy Flex & Shatta Wale

    The artiste manager (Manager of Africa Dancehall King, Shatta Wale), using his X formerly twitter, he wrote;

“It’s my prayer for all young musicians and at large every musician in Ghana to get their due before their expiry date. Don’t do things to impress others and cry in future. Social media will just give you shouts for maximum three days and that will be all. Be smart with your decisions and don’t be moved by the hype. It kills slowly. This is the word of God”.

Although, social media play vital roles in the lives of celebrities, many are being swayed by the praises and fame instead of focusing on the commercial side of their crafts.

He advised musicians not to live their lives just to impress people but secure all the avenues within their prime, thus they should make good investments that will yield positive results in their future lives.

Famed Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur, Deloris Frimpong Manso, professionally known as Delay has not too long ago shared her life story, shedding light on her not soo smooth journey in the Ghanaian media space.

According to Delay, she was financially unstable when she first joined the industry. She detailed that people called her all kinds of names including ‘unattractive and ugly’ because she was very poor and couldn’t afford certain basic things that make a woman look good.

She emphasized that affording basic necessities like body lotion and good dresses during that period proved to be a big challenge, however she never gave up or make that be a threat to her confidence because she knew what she wanted to achieve.

The media mogul, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delay Foods made this statement during an exclusive interview on Kumasi-based radio station, Pure FM.

“I’m really a fighter, if you take a look at where I’m coming from…like when I first came into the industry, people said I didn’t have the looks and I wasn’t beautiful….It was poverty. Poverty is not a good thing because it can really make you look bad. Poverty is a killer disease and it’s the truth.

“Because I was broke, I didn’t have money to buy a good lotion for my body and I couldn’t buy a good dress for myself. So people saw me ‘someway’. They said I was fat, and not fair.. like I mean they said I didn’t have the standard looks. But all these didn’t discourage me, it strengthened me to become who I am today,” she said.
