“I am alive and strong,” Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu asserts in response to death rumours
Veteran Ghanaian actress Mercy Asiedu has vehemently denied rumours that she passed away, calling them wholly untrue.
The well-known actress, who is presently residing in the US, assures her fans in a video that has gone viral on social media that she is well and has not experienced any illness.
In response to the false information, she highlights her concern for the great distress these unfounded rumours have caused and alludes to a possible spiritual motivation for the false narrative.
Mercy Asiedu criticises YouTube bloggers for spreading false rumours about her passing in a video that was posted on Twitter. In contrast to some reports that place her in the UK, she clarifies her current location and says she is in the US.
Stressing the emotional toll that the general panic has taken on her and her family, she urges people who are spreading the rumours to stop inciting fear.
