I find it difficult to promote my songs – Nana Acheampong

Legendary highlife musician Nana Acheampong has stated that he is still involved in the music industry, despite his poor song promotion.

After his song “Cassanova” became popular, many thought he had given up on music, but the renowned musician explained that a change in leadership had left his works uninspired and ineffectual.

In an exclusive interview with Tony Best for Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360, the wise highlife artist reaffirmed that he will keep making music as long as he has breath in him.

“Just last year I released three songs but my problem has to do with promoting those songs so that it will become relevant and withstand the current trend but I am unable to keep up.”

“Part of my silence in the music industry could also be attributed to a change in management, we haven’t been able to keep up with new developments,” Nana Acheampong said.

Nana Acheampong made a hint that he and her incredible daughter Gyakie would be collaborating on a popular release shortly.

With years of experience and a wealth of musical history, the well-known highlife musician is a respected figure in Ghana’s music industry.

He expresses his satisfaction with Gyakie’s accomplishments, emphasising that singing is Gyakie’s natural talent and that she started preparing for her career at the young age of five.

In the meantime, Nana Acheampong has dropped a brand-new song called “Ye Wo Nyame,” which means “We have God.” Ye Wo Nyame features Fameye, a young, gifted highlife singer from Ghana.

The song is currently out and available on all music streaming platforms.

Gyakie, the stage name of Ghanaian music sensation Jackline Acheampong, has been transparent about her experiences in the dating scene.

The ‘Rent Free’ hitmaker admitted that although romantic relationships with people in your field might be difficult, love is undoubtedly beautiful in an exclusive interview with 3FM.

The “Song bird,” Gyakie, went on to say that while love is unpredictable, she would not be dating anyone in the business at this time.

“I won’t advise myself to do that if I have another version of me. I wouldn’t advise that because it can be very, very tricky but you never know.

Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn’t say its wrong but at the same time, right now, I wouldn’t advise myself to be with an industry person,” she said

This comes after the celebrated vocalist shared the meaning behind the song “December,” which was released recently. She revealed that she decided to gather her emotions and write “December” as a coping mechanism after meeting with a “special someone” and being disappointed and heartbroken.

Rapper and singer Black Sherif, who has won numerous awards, has enthralled fans with a tweet that reveals a dream that he has always had: marrying fellow Ghanaian musician Gyakie.

The BET award winner claims that in addition to getting married, they also became extremely successful globally via their tours and music.

“I proposed to Gyakie in my dream, and she accepted.” A week later, we were married; a year later, we had twins and travelled the world together. This is a sign, in my opinion. He went on, “Please tag her,” leaving fans to speculate as to whether this was wishful thinking or a cunning prod towards reality.

Gyakie, whose real name is Jackline Acheampong, released her debut single in 2019 called “Love Is Pretty.” She has previously said that she is single and does not have any particular qualities in a partner; instead, she is more interested in a person’s overall vibe.
