  • Shatta Wale can easily fill O2 Arena – Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo

Shatta Wale can easily fill O2 Arena – Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo

Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, a pundit for entertainment, has ruled out any possibility that Dancehall artist Shatta Wale could sell out the O2 Arena for a performance.

Shatta Wale could easily pack the O2, an arena with 20,000 seats, according to Arnold. He went on to say that the Dancehall performer can only do that by working with the right UK promoters.

Though Shatta Wale has a substantial fan base in the UK and other countries, Arnold claims that his ability to sell out the O2 Arena goes beyond his popularity and fan base.

“Wale has been in the business for over 20 years, he is also popular in UK, Dubai and other places but you see it goes beyond the praises and popularity we see. He has the catalog and sword.

“What he has to do is now is to ensure he does not use one promoter. There is one promoter in UK who can make that possible and that’s is Live Nation, he can walk up to Live Nation and discuss his pedigree with them and for his managers to prove to Live Nation that this is what he can do,” he said on Onua FM on May 4.

He emphasised that Wale could easily sell out the O2 Arena if he worked with other promoters in the UK, such as Akwaaba and Allonia.

Arnold continued, saying that in order for this to happen, Shatta Wale’s management needed to be able to convince the promoters of his value and abilities and be open to cooperating with them.

His remarks follow rapper Medikal’s sold-out performance at the O2 Indigo on Friday, May 3.

With performances by other artists like Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Jay Bhad, Sister Derby, and Malcom Nuna, the performer put on an electrifying show and sold out the arena.
